Hickory Smoked then Braised Short ribs

I just seasoned them and placed them in the smoker with chunks of Hickory on the coals.
My-o-my does the neighborhood smell fantastic.

That's one hell of a well used smoker.

West of the Mississippi it's called well seasoned.
Although I'd like to use the Dutch oven, I'm going to braise them with the casserole style crock pot.
It doubles as a nice serving dish.

Had it all set up for 6:00 PM supper.
I was out super-pruning the Roses at 5PM.
Came back into the house and the family had helped themselves to an early dinner,, so no finished product pix.
