Home Made Fig Barbecue Sauce:
Ingredients:
1) Garlic - 1/8 Cup
2) Tomato Paste - 1 4 Oz. can.
3) Dried Figs - 7 or 8
4) Cayenne Pepper Sauce - 1 Tblspn.
5) Balsamic Vinegar - 5 to 6 Tblspns.
6) Lemon Juice - 2 Tblspns.
7) Adobo - 1 Tblspn.
8) Brown Sugar - 1 Tblspn.
9) Paprika - 1 Tspn.
10) Water - as required
Procedure:
1) In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients, except Tomato Paste.
2) Add about 1/4 Cup Water.
3) Blend the contents of the mixing bowl.
4) Add Tomato Paste and blend further.
5) Simmer the Barbque Sauce in a pot until Garlic and Figs cook.
NOTE: Simmer at about 175F and add Water as required during cooking. Stir frequently and simmer for about 30 to 40 minutes.
6) Allow to cool and then, bottle.
7) Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before first use.
NOTE: Keep refrigerated when not being used.
