Hot Sauces

I make a very good salsa verde and make a batch every time I make enchiladas. For adding a little zest to a dish i just use a commercial hot sauce. My favorite one is Mexico made Cholula. It is spicy, good tasting and readily available at the supermarket. Tabasco meets those parameters except for flavor.

Agree on those points. Tobasco is pretty much hot and vinegar. Meh...

Interesting list of ingredients - guava and pineapple.
Guava works really well in hot sauce. I've got a buddy over here who makes dozens of hot sauces - including one with just guava.
I was in Mexico City about 5 years ago, walking along La Reforma ( the main city highway), and there was a Xmas bazaar/food festival thing going on. A mixture of Mexican chiles and pineapple was one of the options - really good combination.

I just remembered how I used that Chipotle Tabasco. I made pulled pork tacos (soft flour tortillas) with shredded red cabbage and carrot, shallot slivers, tequila lime crema, fresh tomato salsa, avocado slices, fresh cilantro, and several shakes of Chipotle Tabasco. It was on repeat for several days when I was in Texas back in February. Not sure how I forgot that because it was absolutely delicious!

That looks super. I've got some avocados that will be ready in a couple of days.
