Most of that would be all over the table if I were eatring that. Looks good though! My perfect combo with a burger: tomatoes, pickles, chips, onion, lettuce, yep!

Mustard, mayo and ketchup please!
Yeah, that's how I did my burgers for years. Just this past year, however, I have started skipping the ketchup if I have tomato on my burger. Maybe because we will have French fries on the side and I have ketchup with those and the ketchup on the burger became too much? But for 55 years or so I liked those 3 condiments on my burgers! Oh, I used to skip ketchup on my fries and eat them plain with salt but that also changed in the last year...weird huh?

There you go. Tastes change.
I used to eat loads of chicken and no fish. Now I only eat chicken when I have to, but will eat fish any time.
I like burgers with few ingredients, I suppose. Cheese, sauces, maybe mushrooms, maybe jalapeños; and the tomato, onion and lettuce on the side. I don't see the point of having a dozen things piled on top of the patty, because then you can't taste the burger.

I'm veering off topic but its so strange to me to read this. I've probably only eaten burgers maybe a dozen or so times the last 55 years (at most). Its just not something I would ever order in a restaurant or make at home.

I've always preferred seafood to meat. That's never going to change.

I'm okay with lots of toppings on my burger because I enjoy them more than the beef. In fact I like my patties to be as thin as possible with lots of lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and some bacon. If I do sauteed mushrooms and onions I only want cheese with no pickles, other veggies, or condiments.

I used to love a big half-pound burger with cheese. Now I like it barely 1/4 pound (less would be fine).

I eat burgers about 6 times a year and never at a restaurant. Always homemade or at someone else's house.

Edited to add the average American probably eats 1 or more per week!

Also, when I was a teenager I worked at a fast food restaurant for a few months. Guess what I ate on my meal break? The chicken sandwich. Always.

I could eat a (beef) burger every day. They’re like pizza; very customizable.

We have whole restaurants here (proper sitdown ones, not just fast food) built around burgers, and any restaurant that sells a burger probably offers six or more variations - when I was a teen, the best you could hope for was a choice maybe three.

I usually ate here a few times a month when I was going into the office:

That’s from a bar called Zola’s. I’ve eaten there 50 times if I’ve eaten there once, and have only ever gotten the one burger style there - anyone care to guess which one it was?

Zola Patty Melt or the Classic?

I could eat pizza every day but not burgers.

No and no.

I used to get irritated with my best-coworker-friend, because with all of those choices, and he would sit there and still come up with some crazy custom one, taking bits and pieces from a few of them to construct some godawful Frankenburger, thereby holding up all our orders.
