Can I enquire as to what it is? I'm not good at guessing.
2 minute noodles and left over "sauce" from earlier in the week

I like having it in the body of the post mostly, I usually am too lazy to click the links, LOL.
I find it visually confusing to see unclipped screenshots of the site within a post.

Although the information i learn about other people's devices from seeing that is quite revealing. Too much so, from a cyber security point of view.

I did check...
I don't think you got much info, except time zone and the fact I use wifi...
But pls tell if you found out more
Just by showing the top line alone, you reveal os and version, plus sometimes patches, service provider, VPN connections or lack of, Bluetooth enabled or otherwise and so on. Security software, NFC enabled (or otherwise)....

The last big update on my android changed the battery indicator (a couple of months ago). It sounds trivial, but someone still showing the old battery icon paints a target saying these patches have not be applied to my device. Plus service provider, someone now knows who to pretend to be, perhaps there's not too many providers where you are, but it's all tiny bits of information. In my top line is also the security software I'm using, along with a while loadof other bits of they are enabled at the time.

My phone/security software does not let you give that top line because it gives so much info away. It physically will not screenshot that section any longer. That's how much info you're giving away.

And the target is huge. People write software and sell it that automates access to devices based on what patch they have or don't have. All you need to do is to ID the victim, put in a few settings and press or write start and hit enter. The software does the rest.

My course of ethical hacking was fascinating and worrying at the same time and in equal measures.

Thanks,
I didn't know. Didn't really see anything I would have to hide, but will keep the top line out in future comms!

I’m shocked by how many websites access my microphone without telling me.
Apple devices display an orange dot to let you know if your mic is being accessed (green dot is camera only on ios,) apparently websites aren't supposed to be able to access your mic without the orange dot appearing but they can and do.

I know this because my hearing aids have a basic Bluetooth function and as soon as the microphone or speakers on the device I’m using are accessed my hearing aids will cut off background sound and will Bluetooth directly with the device only.

I bought everyone some crocs for Christmas last week and the Crocs website accessed the mic on my ipad the entire time I was on the site. Similar looking at the Ikea website on Saturday but that was only for a few minutes.

I find it incredibly annoying not just because it’s beyond intrusive but also because it causes my hearing aids to cut out while connected to the device and I’m effectively deaf while using whatever website is crossing the creepy line.

If someone speaks to me while I’m online on certain websites and my mics being accessed I won’t hear them at all.

You can't block access to peripheral devices in your settings for the browser???
