Yeah I'd have to go with the fork idea as well. unless I didn't have one of course - sometimes I run out of my best silver ware, the ones that go with the Mung Dynasty stuff so if push came to shove, fingers would work

For those using a fork, I hope your pan isn't non stick. I would favour a spoon, bigger dollops of mash per scoop.
