How to make cake mix more brownie-like?

Now I'm just trying to decide if after I make the pudding in a bit, I should directly put it on top of the brownie crust like I originally was thinking? I don't want the brownie crust to get soggy. Maybe I should make the pudding and let it set overnight and then add it to the brownie mix and layer everything else tomorrow right before they get here? After the pudding sets overnight, there won't be anything very liquidy to soak into the brownie crust perhaps?

Also I have a little bit of the brownie crust left to crumble on top of the creme and berries...
