How to start a diet your family's not on

I would really like to go back to a gluten free diet. But I always have bread around for my family, someone's always bringing home pizza or donuts, and pasta dishes are so easy to whip up in a hurry when everyone's hungry. It's so much harder to get on a diet when the food you want avoid is around all the time.

How you do you guys start a diet or new way of eating if your family's not on the same plan? Also what do you do to get that oomph to resist some of those foods when they are always around? Do any of you follow a redistricted diet? How do you do it?
