I was married for over 66 years but am a recent widow. Life is different for sure. I've lived in this area my entire life except for short periods of following my sailor husband to different Navy bases. Until recently there wasn't much spare time since we were in the middle of an oldvine vineyard. Things are different there now too. Thanks for the welcome

I live in the cold vineyard region of Australia, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. I have both growing in my garden. We were lucky enough this year to get a reasonable harvest from our vine despite very little rain at all. It had help from the kitchen.

Little bit of history…at one time (mid-1800’s), Ohio was the largest wine-producing state in the country, and it’s still pretty easy to go for a Sunday drive and happen upon a vineyard - there’s one about 15 minutes from our house, for example.
