Hello all, lets see here ahh, I am originally from Australia but moved to the US not too long ago. I am very retired courtesy of a Federal Gov job and basically I really enjoy cooking.

I am married and do 90% of the cooking at home but keep with more traditional meals with an Aussie flavor. With that being said, I also like to take traditional everyday foods and try to make something different or more tasteful out of them. All very trial with a lot of error involved. I'm not much for "fancy smanshy" foods just good old fashioned steak and spuds, fish and chips, burgers a good Sunday Lamb Roast with the trimmings and that sort of thing. So lomg as it tastes good then that (to me) is all that matters :)

So why am I here - well food isn't just food I don't think. You say, for example - I had chicken for dinner tonight - and the immediate response may well be - really, what did you have? Chicken Parm, Roast Chicken, Chicken legs, breast, wings - there are so many varistions of all the same food and that is one reason I joined here - to learn about all the variations and how to go about cooking them "successfully" :)

Darn, thanks everyone and I see that a sense of humor is probably a must for here .... I think I can handle that :)

Welcome Wombat.
Were you in Indiana Jones’ last instalment? 😜
