Kitchen blow torches: uses and refilling them

Are you not scared to put your ceiling alight? That would get rid of thevlady beetles, but be a bit of overkill !

I recently bought a gas set up to kill weeds. Not nearly as exciting

You can order the cartridges. They just can't ship the cartridge and the torch in the same package due to fire/explosion hazard.

It's not hard to refill. I would never even think of asking my husband to do it (not meaning anything against you, just it's something I would do myself).

Hubs uses the Benzomatic to light charcoal/wood and to char bell peppers for peeling. He does this outside though. The Benzomatic chars the skin quickly, leaving the structure of the pepper still firmish, not like when it collapses when you char under the broiler in the oven.

You can char pepper skin with the little kitchen torch, but it takes foreverrr. I use it when I want to flambe something as well since our stove is electric.

Its very good charred and with epazote leaves, chillies and smoked meat of some sort. Pineapple changes flavour when cooked and charred.

But we digress. The Internet is saturated with angry posts about pineapple on pizza. I've no wish to add to them.

True.
I like pineapple as is. Love it actually
But not in savoury meals. And not charred and/or in dessert. But I got weird taste buds...

Going back to blow torches
Maybe title should be changed to blow torch, refilling & use of...

Yes I know, I googled for some youtube, it didn’t seem that hard but my husband said no.

My daughter’s favorite topping is ‘sweet pig’, Canadian bacon and pineapple.
