Well, after living in Nevada 37 years I've come to appreciate landscaping that doesn't have needs for water or any kind of timely maintenance.
It's not been cold enough the past two winters to kill anything so the plants around the houses are out of control. On the other house the darn kudzu is growing into the exterior wall. You can spray that with Chernobyl sludge and it'll just keep coming.
Off the back of my porch, facing the woods, there's more saplings and weeds taking over than anything the landscaping is worth. John Deere 455 affect... I'll lay down a ground cover, with holes for the bushes and that's done.
Spent $100 on parts and got the 35yo hedge trimmer to work... Not very neat but then I'm the AC guy. This should last a minute.
