All new members are moderated initially. That's our standard policy. I know I approved 6 of your posts last night. You have not yet met unrestricted no links limit for posting.Darn - sorry, my fault - I'll turn the VPN off. I use it of an evening and evidently left it on last night. Okay VPN is now off!
If you re-read the welcome message, it is explained in there.
Once you reach a certain number of posts you'll be able to post anything without a link freely. For the first set period of time, (I'll not define it because spammers read these posts to try to get spam onto the site), anything with a link, and this includes links to pictures hosted elsewhere, instead of uploaded directly, will still need to the checked by moderators.
Spammers routinely try to get a mature account by opening one, posting a few innocent posts and then leaving to return after a period of time, to an account they believe will now allow them to post anything including spam.

PS, the VPN had absolutely nothing to do with it. We just get an alert saying you're not posting from where you registered. I saw that last night as well, but given I'm the site owner and worked in IT, let it through.Point taken - everything in moderation right? - cheers mate and thank you for the explaination as well.

That does make sense. I'll try to keep the VPN off though to save any possible future confusion.
