More Cookery Books (2020-2025)

I use Maangchi’s youtube channel and site a fair amount and decided to bite the bullet.
There were none left in the UK so this one came from the USA.
Not supposed to be here for another month so I’m pretty happy.
Guess I know which type of Asian cookery I’m now going to spend my holiday hankering after 😂

I like her too, she’s very cute.
 
I want to know if anybody has an opinion on this new cookbook by Mary Berry. I use her ginger biscuit recipe every year and I did watch some of her shows, but not lately, not regularly. Is this worth buying?

I don’t know about this book but I am tempted by it.
Pre her bake off fame days I always thought Mary Berry was very underrated. Overshadowed by Delia for no reason I can think of.
Any recipes of hers have always been reliable.
Might put that book on my Christmas wish list.

I don’t know who Delia is, I did buy a book from Nigella Lawson but I don't know where it is. Maybe too much carbs, maybe I threw the book away.
Mary Berry’s new book is not available until January, so next year it will be on my Christmas list.

Unsurprisingly it’s out here. Has been since October but then we are a nation who gives cookery books as Christmas prezzies so it would have been an epic marketing fail it they’d missed the festive season!

I'm not a big fan of Mary Berry. I find her rather dull and I don't think any of her recipes have ever excited me. However, she is very reliable and I believe her recipes can be trusted to work. Its simply that the recipes aren't very exciting to me. Her baking is what she is best known for and that's not something I'm very interested in.
 
This arrived this morning. Bit of a surprise it arrived before the new year.
I have already cooked one recipe from it. It was a recipe posted on another author's website, and I needed $20 more for free postage, so I bought another cookbook as you do.

Technically it is vegetarian, but a lot of the recipes are actually vegan or are veggan (vegan +eggs) which is fine for me.
the recipe I have made is one with chickpeas and I was glad to be able to see the actual recipes, because the other author had reduced the spices by over 1/3!
