Mother's Day Dinner

Does your family cook for you on Mother’s Day? My husband use to make barbecue ribs, chicken and hot dogs. My husband would cook so much that we had enough to freeze. We also had enough meat stored in the fridge that would last for days. That was a real Mother’s Day gift for me!

Well, my hubby and I are actually going away for the weekend this Mother's Day - my MIL is looking after our daughter! It's our wedding anniversary right before Mothers Day weekend - so we will be having a restaurant meal! Then the Sunday night when we are back we will celebrate with a dinner with my MIL so that hubby can show his appreciation of his mom - but ideally it will be at a restaurant so neither of us have to cook!

In the uk we have celebrated Mother's Day ,Mums are given flowers and visited traditionally with the commercial element of rather high street cashing in on related stuff over the last view years,and restaurants selling out for 2 sittings
