I seem to miss a lot of newly posted threads. In Forums view I see links to new posts but not specifically to new threads. Is there a specific page for all newly posted content including threads? Also, wondered how people keep track of new posts and notifications of new threads. Bookmarks? Follows? Something else? TIA

If you click on new posts ( or the lightening symbol) under the top green toolbar it shows all posts you haven't read. That includes new threads.
Edit: this view will show you the most recently posted unread post in any thread. So you may need to scroll back to see previously unread posts.

I'm not sure there is a way to call up only new threads. But this may be my ignorance.
I just click New Posts. That’ll show new threads, but at the post level, which doesn’t bother me. I’m reading and responding to posts anyway, not threads. I don’t really need to know if a thread is new or not.

"New posts" goes to the end of the thread.... Not totally end, but to the last post you read.
Lightning goes to the first post in the thread
Puzzled... I always find lightening goes to the last post you haven't read.
Anyway. Either will show any new thread you haven't read.
If there’s more than one page of new posts, the lightening bolt won’t show them all, just the first page. Clicking New Posts will show all of them on one page.
I haven't noticed that. Both show exactly the same for me.
As far as I understand it, the lightening bolt is simply another way to access 'new posts'. It is possible for users to change the filter for 'new posts' to show different results.

I also couldn't work out how to find them again after new threads and posts are no longer new - I sometimes just take a look and go nack later to post. There's a *recent posts* link I found in the dropdown Forum menu. Bit convoluted to get to but.

If you specifically want to see threads you have already viewed you could use the 'watched threads' function.
If you are using a mobile phone then go the the pull down menu accessed by the three bars in the top left corner.
Click on 'watched threads' and you should see all the threads you have viewed in date order.
Ok thanks for that - watched usually implies selecting - didn't realise it watches all viewed threads by default
It can be set by the user to watch or not watch. But it does watch by default, I believe.
