I went to Trader Joe's today and picked up a few things that caught my eye. I haven't tried any but the vanilla bean paste, which is wonderful. I found the vanilla last year, and it makes a big difference in my cheesecake.

Found these last week. I thought they needed a little more flavor, so I added some praline topping left over from Thanksgiving. I'll buy them again. So easy to make this side dish.

I just used the beef version for Christmas. It’s definitely better than the other jarred gravies I’ve tried, but it could have stood a little home tinkering. I’ll use it again.

Better than Bouillon stock/broth paste is excellent, so I'll have to try the gravy paste. I'll probably still doctor it up a little, but as long as the texture is nice, I can easily tweak the flavors.

It’s not a paste, it’s a heat-and-eat fully-ready gravy, like those Heinz things, but better than that.

Oh, I didn't know that. I just assumed it was a concentrate, like the bouillon. I'll definitely give it a try.

That would be a definite NO for me. Can't stand the smell or taste of lavender, but especially when it comes to food.

I’m not sure about the lavender. But I’ll try it and return it if I don’t like it. Other brands have tarragon in it. I don’t like tarragon.

I absolutely love furikake. I know zip about the others. I think I would like that paprika though, and of course the vanilla bean paste. We don't have Trader Joe's nearby, it's about 40 minutes away and I don't go to that area unless I am working and then I don't have time to go shopping at other stores other than the one I am working in.

Basil is in the blend. It was pretty good. The lavender was very mild, I could barely taste it.
