That should work. It encompasses the idea. I can't tell from the pic but is it up off the bottom? Need at least a couple of cm.Very small oven as you can see

It's not that as that would be very simple. But isn't it just a question of moving the rack up and down into a higher or lower position during cooking?
(Unless wanting to cook 2 dishes at the same time that is) Or am I missing something

Mod.edit: this post and following few moved from A dish you want to excel at but haven’t yet?
I wish I would get the hang of my gas ostove with only bottom heat!
Browning top layer without burning the bottom seems impossible

Yeah I got one and is really helpful with a gas oven that only has markings for "high" and "low"A friend of mine keeps this thermometer in his oven. The oven is old & if you judge it by the knob, you'll get a wrong temp. so we have to judge it by the thermometer on the inside & tweak the knob to ge it at or near the temp inside. I have one also, but the stove is fairly new, so I don't have to do that.

His is electric. So is mine. He once told me that the space where the oven is, no new oven can fit in there.Yeah I got one and is really helpful with a gas oven that only has markings for "high" and "low"
But that doesn't help with the issue I have of top browning

Whenever you got a lot of time on your hands and are very bored with money to burnWhen I have sometime to go shopping, I will replace my oven. When is the best time or month to shop for appliances?

Money is not a deterring factor, but in USA there is a month when they go on sale. I may have to google for it.Whenever you got a lot of time on your hands and are very bored with money to burn![]()

I said to do it last year but with all my time spending helping my sister and her house it didn’t get done.
Mine is about that size. The stove itself is about 24 inches wide.Very small oven as you can see
