I'm making pumpkin pie, and needed some nutmeg, so I bought a jar of whole ones - they keep better than ready ground.
So, here's the jar:
Nice big looking opening in the cap too. Except when you flip the top up....
Trying to extract a whole nutmeg that way is not working....
(Fortunately, I have wits, and therefore unscrewed the lid. And then took all the nutmegs out and put them in a tupperware, and put the jar in NT's bag to take over to Manchester for SatNav, coz, it's a nice jar with a fairly wide mouth.)
The pie is in the oven now, and I'm about to start the soup.
