I was going to try to make my own pies, which is still a probability, but thought I'd try pasties first as they seem a little easier and more straight forward AND, don't need a pie tin to make them.
So. mine are going to be 100% traditional "Wombat Pasties" - in other words, probably nothing like a traditional Cornish Pastie that uses actual meat
Mine will comprise the following:
X amount of minced beef
x amount of onions (finely chopped)
x amount of peas
x amount of carrots
x amount of celery
x amount of worcestorshire sauce
x amount of salt
x amount of pepper
x amount of finely choppede spuds
a dash of beer (for good measure in case the rest doesn't work)
and all wrapped up in puff pastry!
