I don't know exactly what Patani is in English - lima beans or kidney beans. It is one of my husband's favorite native dishes. The lima beans are peeled and cooked in a sautee mix of garlic and onion plus fish sauce. For flavoring, fried pork belly sliced in strips are also added before taking off from the stove. The lima beans are easy to cook, maybe just 5 minutes of boiling and it is ready to eat.
