Pay restaurant bill via QR code

I don't even carry a cell phone. Since there is virtually no cell service out here in the boonies, it isn't all that useful. I do own one but it is turned off 99% of the time. I prefer cash. Talk about old school!

One of the things that came out of covid is that most sit-down restaurants here now give you the option of paying by scanning a QR code with your phone and paying that way - no muss, no fuss, no waiting an age for waitstaff to go run your card and eventually return it.

How do you all feel about the QR code payment option? Do you like to take advantage of it? Does it annoy you, or maybe it doesn’t even apply in your area? Let us know!

I don't mind. I usually don't mind waiting for the server either. The longer I wait, the more time I get to spend with my hot date!

They took the mall hours off the door, and replaced them with a QR code. Maybe the GenZ customers didn't understand how to use actual words and numbers on a piece of glass.

The next generation will probably walk into a rural cafe, be handed a printed menu by a waitress, and ask, "What's this? And, who are you?"
