There is one particular way I like fresh/frozen peas and that is peas à la Francais. There are varying recipes. But here is one from Jamie oliver:

I haven't tried it yet, and will use real crab when I do, but I thought this recipe using fresh or frozen peas looked good.

Peas are great in meat pies with carrots and potatoes. They are soft but tasty. I also love split pea soup with ham, carrots, potatoes...it's a bit mushy but delicious. To me.

Yes to split peas...
