Really nothing like parsley as I know it! Just looked it up. Its Thai parsley (well it would be) - but it is a specific type with a different flavour (so I read).
My American mate gave me this last week.
That looks like flat leaved parsley as I know it.

Hopefully it will become the "heart" of a Chicken Kiev next week.
However, I shall be careful.
I had dinner with a work colleague in Kuala Lumpur. He ordered a Chicken Kiev and when he first cut into it it virtually exploded depositing very hot garlic butter over the front of his shirt. He was flooded with apologies from the staff and was not charged for it!
