I saw an indoor one called a piezano i was looking at but the reviews were mixed. I'll wait. I'd love to have an outdoor one, but where I live its only comfortable to be outside for 5-6 months out-of the year.

They get so flippin hot you might prefer the oven outside in the cold regardless or the time of year.
Unless what you’re considering is some sort of superduper insulated thing 🤷‍♀️

I wouldn’t have mine inside it get’s outrageously hot 🥵

The ooni and roccbox can be used outside, but also inside if enough ventilaton.
It was early days with those small pizza ovens when I was looking at them,.
Design wise, I would have gone for the roccbox, but the ooni (then uuni) had more users and was a bit lighter, so could come back with me in the plane

I disagree
It's only on for a short while....
15 minute pre-heat
2 minute pizza

And the newer models are better insulated

Why would you have chosen the roccbox over the Ooni?

Well I suppose it’s colder in the UK and the preheat is 20 maybe more mins then I’m doing multiple pizza’s so the oven is running continuously for that time and that’s closer to 40 mins.

Design...

Both got about the same reviews around the time.
The roccbox looked better, but 1.5 to double the price. Less reviews/users and heavier
I opted for the uuni/ooni as there was a 2nd hand market.
Got a friend involved and first we bought the uuni 1.
Then there was an uuni 3, and we sold the uuni 1 for the same price as we bought it for.
They just came out with a gas burner and I purchased one in Germany as there was no approval in the Netherlands yet for that burner.
I remember I paid just below 40 euro for the gas burner. Less than a year later it was 80 or 90 euro

Nah, used it in the Netherlands as well.
Still about 15 min.
2 minutes per pizza
1 minute to get back up to heat.
But each to their own. I'm happy with it.
I also got the space. Mine is standing ready to use
I'm not sure if I would have bought it if I was still living in the Netherlands.

Different oven. Mines not an Ooni.
Tis 20mins up to temp and 2.30mins per pizza with a lot of buggering about in-between while people slowly fuss over what toppings to put on and that’s generally what causes the oven to be on for about 40mins.

But my kitchen is hot, especially in the winter when the central heatings going full blast so theres not a chance I’d turn a pizza oven on in there, even a normal oven is a bit too much.

Fair enough, though I think the dedicated pizza oven would heat up the kitchen less than the oven.
But... It's not as versatile as the standard oven. And a heck of a lot smaller

It's an enclosed system with a lid, so it wouldn't be any different than turning on the self-cleaning feature of my oven. Yeah, it does get to 800F, but I was reading some reviews and people were saying that the recommended setting of 800F was too high and that they had to play with the temperatures a bit to get it right. I liked the price of it but I didn't like the mixed reviews, so when I said I will wait, I really meant I will wait for something better to come on the market for indoor use. I also don't want to smoke up my house and some people who didn't know about the recommended temp being too high said they had a ton of smoke in their house, plus burnt on dough and cheese. Oh yeah, and some said it was not easy to clean (the ones who burned their pizzas, LOL). There were actually a lot of reviewers that figured it out quickly and loved it, but I am always wary because I don't know if some people were paid or otherwise incentivized for their glowing reviews.
