Plans for today (2025)

Still haven't slept. This weather is wreaking havoc on my head (headaches/migraines and clogged sinus) and joints. And I still haven't gone food shopping or eaten.

Me too, clogged sinuses and my frontal lobe hurts. I slept about 4 hours last night and my DH didn't sleep well either, and now I am scrambling to try to get it together to go to this family party and my head just isn't right. It's not a migraine though, so I know from experience yours is about 10x worse. I am so sorry to hear that. And then the joints too, arggh. I think it's time for you to take a nap!

Plans for today:
Slept in for a change, I made the executive decision last night before bed that the Queen will rest (even tough DH came back into the bedroom several times after he had gotten up to give me birthday kisses while I slept, AAAHHHHH!)
Not much during the day-time
Come evening, I'm going with my Neighborhood Gal Pals to Birthday Bingo at the community next to ours
I have an incognito container that I will fill with Prosecco for Moi and a cake to share with the entire class (which I usually do anyways).
Wish me luck!

Happppppy birthday, queen!

I went online and filled my prescription refill order. I made biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast so got some dishes to clean up.

Tonight I am surprising my DH with the filet mignon steaks I bought yesterday that I reaaallly struggled with coughing up the cash for at almost $28 lb. This is why we rarely eat red meat these days, I suppose the high beef prices are good for our health, LOL. They are two small ones about 5-6 oz each and are certified black angus. I checked them out thoroughly, no gristle at all. I think I will do some goat cheese infused mashed potatoes to go with. DH likes blue cheese topping on his steak and I have some of that on hand. I am thinking I'd like some sauteed mushrooms, peppers, and onions on mine, or perhaps a mushroom marsala wine sauce, IDK yet. Lightly sauteed spinach so we have something green on the plate.
