Plans for today (2025)

In Ohio, our liquor is fixed. All of the liquor stores are owned by the state, LOL. I have often joked at the irony of the folks who hand out DUIs also own all the booze, LOL. But fuel varies from place to place here.
Sounds like Nevada. They say all the mob is gone I think they all just sit at the capital now... 😁

BTW, the mystery shopping in Nevada is supposedly very lucrative if you know how to gamble wisely. But you have to have a PI license to do that in NV.
The PI license is like everything else in NV; you have to pay for it. I had one for several years to do armed security work. Had to quit doing that when they wanted me to carry their issued .38 and me ditch my personal Colt Python loaded with .357 SD rounds.

Most of the plans today worked out, along with my unexpected chip/crisp run, and a stop at a winery.

We also found a housing community we really like, and they’ll be building in there for another year, so that might work out, and they’re opening another one next year, so that might work as well. That alone makes the trip over worth it.

Plans today include breakfast at MrsT’s favorite place here (Dutch Country Restaurant), where their menu is currently featuring local fresh peaches…peach pancakes, peach waffles, peach cinnamon rolls, peach dumplings, etc.

After that, heading to a new retirement community in Hanover, just for a look at it, then down to Littlestown for the same, then back up to Hanover for a Revonah soft pretzel (and to get super-hard broken pretzel pieces to take home), and hopefully finishing out with supper at Famous Hot Weiner in Hanover.

We’ll see.

When will you move? Im 68 and we thought about downsizing because of the stairs. I have given up looking and they will carry me out from.here .
I can't do the retirement home thing??
I dont want to hang around with old people lol.

When will you move?
Sometime in the next 2-3 years, if things go as planned. I’m 59, and MrsT will be 62 in a couple of weeks.

I’m fine with interacting with younger people when I’m out and about during the day, but I have to admit, even if this sounds bad, in my housing area…I want people my generation and older.

We’re shooting for 55+ communities, but not exclusively, and whenever we drive through a housing area that isn’t exclusive to that age group, the first thing we do is look out for kids’ toys and playground equipment in the back yards, and if we see any of that…we turn that car around quick as we can and retreat!

We’ll be coming back here tomorrow to buy a few of these:

Yes, I realized it wasn't free. I have a friend who lives in California that does the casino shops there.
