Plans for today (2025)

And my plans for today are to keep a good eye on my dolar equipment as we've been having the longest spell of grey weather since I came to the country.
And I don't want to fire up my generators!

(Edited: not dolar equipment, not dollar equipment, but solar equipment)

I read that initially as dollar and went to investment thinking pricey solar panels, then had a rethink... solar equipment!

Not much. Besides work, I’ve got to go to the post office and then I’m going to drive up to the farm stand for a couple of things.

Trying also to work in a final challenge entry.

Taken son to the gym, bought potatoes, green peas, aubergines/eggplant, some hot peppers, some tomatoes and a whole pile of drugs at the pharmacy. Once I've crammed down this cheese and peanut butter sarnie, I'm going to make:
1) Samosas - about 70 or 80. Make the filling first, let it cool; make the pastry; let it rest. Cut the pastry into circles, make little cones and fill with the potato mixture.
2) Smoke the aubergines until they're soft and then make a spicy purée - baingan bharta - for some spiced shortbread biscuits I made yesterday
3) Make a divine Indian chutney called Kasundi.
4) Now I've got plenty of jars, make some hot sauce with honey.
5) Sit down with a cold beer and wonder where the Hell the day went...

Seems like all your drives are long but then Australia is very big.
Yep, it's considered normal to undertake a 12hr drive to cover 1,000km to get somewhere.

In the UK we'd do 10hrs to cover 550 miles which is 880km every couple of months but that was to go on holiday usually for 2 weeks at a time.

This was quite a short journey by comparison, we didn't use a whole tank of fuel! Lol
