Plans for today (2025)

My plans are to get a good night's sleep.

What the weather has planned for me is another matter. There's a fantastic light show going on at the moment as the electrical storm heads NE over us.

I have 4×4wk old chicks who can't yet get wet and still need heat at night.

2 newly hatched chicks that need 38°C and light... and another 10 eggs in the incubator with 2 that have pipped. If we lose electricity during the night, I'll have to get the generator running.

Did you sort of enjoy your trip?
Yes, for the most part, thanks. Not a part of the world I’m interested in (Central America/Caribbean), and I’m to the point where air travel is becoming more and more onerous for me, but once on the ship, no issues. It’s nice to have someone call me “Sir Tasty,” at every turn and unfold my napkin and place it in my lap for me every once in a while. 😉

I break my air travel in half so I don’t need to buy business class to lay down. Honestly all these upper class, business class is just buying expensive alcohols, which doesn’t impress us because we don’t drink.

Today I must remember to call a place to order duck legs and quails. That’s the main thing. Possible go shopping at the local Korean store to get things to make my large pork butt into something tasty.
If I have more energy I’ll make more yogurt and maybe some cookies.

No particular plans today. The builder is coming round again to fix the toilet, which for some reason or another came unstuck from the floor :hyper:
Going to pick up wife's xmas present and then I'll probably just sit around and watch football on TV!

As usual in Caracas, what you may expect to be a 30 minute trip turns into an epic journey.
We needed to replace one of the tubes under the sink (double sink) in the kitchen. First place I stopped, nope. Second place, yes, but we only sell the whole kit. $50. Third place, nope, but we've got a kit.$75. SNAFU.Final place, the sales assistant said to me, yes, we've got the kit, but the metal one costs $25, and you'll need 2, plus an extension ($60), so why not buy the plastic one ($8) and if it doesn''t work, bring it back and I'll give you a refund.
2½ hours later I was back home...
