• I’ve added a casual chat room to CookingBites as a place for off-topic banter, light conversation, and short-lived chit-chat that doesn’t belong in forum threads. The chat room is informal and lightly-to-not moderated, with messages being temporary, so it’s ideal for friendly back-and-forth that would otherwise derail discussions. Site rules still apply, but there’s no reporting system or expectation of post-by-post moderation - if something becomes uncomfortable, the right response is to step away. If a topic has substance or lasting value, it still belongs in the forums; everything else can head to chat.

Plans for today (2026)

I've never understood that vinegar part.
So you got nice well done fries and you make them soggy with vinegar :shy:
Not to mentioin the fish as well - but you put it on the fish and chips before the salt - for obvious reasons :)

Actually, the vinegar is mainlyfor the chips (fries) trust me - it is good BUT I can understand how it may not be for every one ;)

Right, plans for today have just been changed.
Moved to tomorrow.
So today is pretty open and it's not even 8 am.
So, got to seed some areas that were prepped yesterday. Old seeds, so just gonna threw a variety in and see what happens.
Then I need to check out one of my fridges as it seemed not to cool properly. I moved everything to my camping cooler yesterday which is not ideal, but it works.
Not sure what else yet. Something will come up.
Oh and make another jar or couple of jars of sambal to get rid of my chili's

I eat my chips with ketchup, that’s whereI get my flavor from. I think most Americans do.
That would be chips and mayonaise in the Netherlands and Belgium
I don't like them with either.
I do like themm with a spicy satay sauce though (another fairly common thing to do in the Netherlands) or just as they are (or with sambal)

It's cold and raining today, so my plan is to hang out in the basement and work at my reloading bench. I have a couple of hundred rounds of .308 that I want to finish up before I switch over to 9mm..
