Plans for today (2026)

Working…I gave a presentation yesterday to my colleagues and some higher-ups (including my boss, his boss, and his boss) which went very well. My boss actually called me in to his office afterwards to tell me I’d done a great job.

Kind of decompressing from that still, then prepping for another presentation on Monday.

Grafting today with scions from these fruit, jujube, Asian pear, citrus, mulberry, fig. Not sure I will get to all. Grafting with a secateur is not perfect, but I don’t want to lose my fingers in a hobby.

Grafting of all jujube scions done.
Now taking a break and making lunch.
Easy lunch, ham is already cooked, I got it for half price yesterday.
Waiting for electric kettle to boil up for shell pasta.

I just grafted my Shangri La Mulberry, I don’t much hope for this, maybe i will keep an eye out for this, possible rooting this mulberry eventually.
I also rooted the Dwarf ever bearing mulberry, they are all budding out. Must be the warm inside my house, my daughter picked up the package and left it inside. Oh well, if they don’t work this year, I’ll try again next year.
Resting a bit and then I’m going to the post office to mail 2 packages to people who asked me for it. One is in Georgia, I hope the weather there is not too bad when the package arrives because it’s free from my end, some of the trees have been discarded.
Then after that, I go shopping at Sprouts for Himalayan salt and some raisins. Then off to Costco for more shopping, maybe get some olive oil, and bread.

Pretty cold here for what we're used to.
