Plans for today (2026)

I defrosted and cleaned my freezer.
Then moved things around so my freezer (on the inverter) becomes my fridge and my fridge (on its private solar panels and with better insulation) becomes my freezer.
And I realised I got too many frozen ready meals (some are surprise ones, unlabelled)
So I should be freezer eating

My husband is busy vacuuming downstairs, I need to stay away so he can do his job.

We’re proper snowed in right now. The excellent job our neighbor did on the driveway was undone overnight by the blasting wind…I just went to leave for the shops and…drifting snow is just below my knees the entire length and width of the driveway, almost like another snowfall.

He’s supposed to be down this afternoon to clear it again. I reminded MrsT she’ll have to pay him again, and she said, “WHAT?! IT’S THE SAME DAMN SNOW!!!”

She’s on a round of prednisone and muscle relaxers right now, so neither one of us can lift anything heavier than our spirits, I suppose.

Specifically not good stuff/poss side effects. Less the better.

Bummer for you both. But good outlook on lifting spirits!

Lunch is almost done, I’m waiting until our usual eating time before I turn on the heat again. My husband is watching the Winter Olympics.

I was put on prednisone for about a week when I had an infected tooth. I felt like Superman for the whole time - slept straight through, had tons of energy, my memory came back, no sore muscles, nothing. I felt like I was about 10 years old again.

I swear, even my eyesight got better.

Make the focaccia bread I sidetracked yesterday, and a real sandwich for lunch.

Well cra#, tax filing just boogered that. Tomorrow for sure. I've got one small job in the AM, start the tiller, and a Kroger run for colored veggies.

Lasagna is done but this is it.
I can’t find my black eyed peas
Can’t make carrot cake because my shredder was used to shred cheese, until it’s wash, I can’t shred carrots. So it’s going to be tomorrow.

I probably posted in the wrong track
Today was fixing leaks in the irrigation set up, watching T20 cricket and olympic games speed skating.
The leak thing went okay, the next 2 events less so.
Now just sitting with a glass of red wine

Hell I wish I could get the cricket here ..........
