Plans for today (2026)

My wife had to have surgery for her frozen shoulder. I have broken a lot of bones and suffered heart attack pain but I'd never wish the sort of pain my wife experienced with her shoulder on anyone./
Two of my brothers have had shoulder surgery, very long and painful recovery. I feel for your wife. That’s what got me to do my stretches regularly, thinking about my brothers and what they went through.

t's going to be a tough day!
It was.
One of those days when you've got everything meticulously planned, and everything goes slightly awry. The taxi driver who came to pick me up was delayed by 40 minutes because of 3 accidents, so I didn't get to the kitchen until nearly 11.30. My friend who was going to help me was delayed, and then had to rush a buddy to the hospital. We started at 1pm, instead of 10am. The grill in the restaurant (which hasn't been used for 2 years) - 6 feet long and 2 ft wide - was only working on a small side, so grilling 5 kgs of tomatoes took 90 minutes instead of 20.
Anyway, we battled on, and at least got one 10kg lot of chutney cooked, and 8 kgs of piccalilli prepped.
Tomorrow is another day and I'm sure everything will go just fine.
Good news - the two lads who were digging holes finished them all and we're now ready to start pouring cement and prepare the drain for the rainwater. Yipee!
