Plans for today (2026)

Plans?

After a very busy week, today's plan are hoping for a little more sleep
Getting ready for last term at university.
Recovering from yesterday
Writing up a Mushroom and walnut samosa recipe
Eating some of them hopefully
Prepping for tomorrow's clean up Australia day, free access to the tip.
???

I was going to do some basic shopping, but by chance, I looked underneath the car and there was a radiator leak.
Better safe than sorry - let that be till the mechanic can have a look on Monday.
Made some Peperonata, some minced beef for lunch and some pita bread.
Got a long lost friend coming over for a few beers later today, so relax, at last.

Never fixed a radiator leak with an egg??? 😯

I think they only work when there leak is from the grills themselves.

I know that nothing short of a new radiator would have resolved my last radiator leak. It was a major horizontal crack in the metal casing at the top, that ran ⅔rds of the width of the radiator when it was hot. It was not visible at all when cold!

Plans!

University restarts in the morning with a 4hr online no break...

10-11:50am data communications (aka networking 101)
12pm-2pm meeting with my work placement team and Sara, the other student who i managed to talk to this evening.

Then I can work out what is needed to be done for the day. I think this term is going to be very busy.

When my vehicle reached 100K I drilled a hole in the overflow pressure cap. System cools as advertised without the pressure to blow hoses, crack radiators, bust heating cores, burst pump seals, etc. 😃

I did excuse it for the radiator failure - it was the original radiator that failed at +25 years old and 420,000km... I did not excuse it, trying to catch fire - I got soaked to the skin getting out of the vehicle in a major thunderstorm and it blew away any chance of my husband not kowing I had snook into town to buy him a christmas present or two - he had to come and bale me out from the side of the highway - In Austrlia, breakdown is vehicle only (typically) and you get left at the side of the road, at least that is the case near cities.
