my brother is a professional driving instructor. he specialises in students other instructors can't teach. He has asperger's himself, so has a better understanding of how best to teach them safely and how to get the information needed across to them in a manner they understand and can remember. He still rings me from time to time asking my advise on how to help a student with a specific problem. I am good at finding alternative ways of explaining things (being dyslexic myself I have needed to use passenger side and driver's side instead of left and right all of my life). I used to teach advanced level driving (UK Police standard, both RoSPA and IAM) which is a totally different level of observation and understanding what is going on and way beyond the current L plate test level. I held that standard from the age of 18 until I left the UK 8 years ago.
