Today is Arepa24, so in about 40 minutes, I'm off to an event with 24 different arepas, prepared by 24 cooks, which will last for 24 hours.

Finally got the professional photographs of my chicken tandoori arepas, so here they are:

While tidying up drawers, I found some old fabric markers from IKEA that I thought had completely dried out—but they still work! So I started “restoring” my bathroom curtain

I’m drawing with a pencil a few small leaves on the curtain.
If they turn out nice, I’ll color them. I’m really enjoying doing this!

Yes they are! That’s why I prefer to make very light pencil drafts before colouring

Not really, they take awhile to cook so I use those in my out the door lunches. I thought they were smaller and they're actually kind of large! I mix it up so the customers don't get complacent.

DH and I are just hanging out with my mom at her skilled nursing facility.
They have a lovely “family room “ with a large number of recliners.
Lunch done, everyone is nicely full and the two of them are sound asleep.

Today's plans include the veg plot getting some tlc. I don't like pulling out summer crops until they're totally done, and my tomatoes are still producing, so they'll stay for the moment, but the cucumbers need to be removed. They courgettes are still happily producing, and the squashes need some manure. As do the raspberries.

I need to find room to plant my winter veg, but have very little spare space at the moment. The raspberries will have to be pruned and stood upright. I really need an extension to the veg plot. I wonder how I can manage to wrangle that?

quite a lot. Leeks, onions, kale, sprouts, cabbage, beans, peas, cauliflower, broccoli - and that is just off the top of my head.

Anything that is frost hardy and needs a longer growing season basically.
