I believe there are some limits set for new members, to prevent spammers and the like from joining and posting up a bunch of irrelevant junk. One of the moderators can better explain. We love new posts, but this is the internet, so the moderators have to be cautious.

Yes, new members go through a short moderation period, where their posts must be approved by staff before they’ll appear on the forum.

Please feel free to continue posting - we have a small staff, but are well-placed around the globe, so you shouldn’t have too long to wait for your post to appear.
