A few years ago at a Christmas party she stole my beer. I've never forgiven her.
 
For many years I wasn't fussed about Christmas, it lost it's magic once I got older. Enjoy sending cards and giving gifts but it is mostly about having a break from work. The past few years there has been more of a community thing going on and has helped to rekindle my appreciation of the festive season.

Last year I got the flu (a strain not covered by the vaccine) the week before Christmas, and that morphed into pneumonia. I spent Christmas at home, alone. It actually didn't suck at all. I remember cooking a great meal, but can't remember what it was. I'm thinking it was steak, potatoes and possibly asparagus???

EDIT: Found it! Broccoli, not asparagus.

My next door neighbors have a service that comes and hangs lights on their house. That's a rather common thing around here. They also take them down after New Years. That's the part I would have gladly paid someone to do.

Anyway, their lights are not up, yet.
