Hello, please advise me.I have a problems with the blender at the beginning of blending baby food for my small daughter. The blades wont start and the blender gets stuck.

I don’t use a blender all that much, but my first thought is whether there’s enough liquid in there.

Try using the pulse feature. Give it a few pulses to help move the chunks around. Then gradually let it run a little longer for each pulse until you see it starting to break down enough to turn it on to the low speed. Then, slowly speed it up and you should get the vortex going.

I made baby food for all my grandkids.
I used a kitchen whizz. Butter added to get a fine blend. I use silver beet as well.
I can taste them.now. sooooo good.

Ps I've never used a stick blender for making them.

I made all of my children’s baby food (hmm that’s not supposed to sound like a brag, sorry about that) and didn’t have a problem blending it so long as I cut it up relatively small before starting.
It can be down to the power of your blender but what Rocklobster said is good advice and if you’re using more than one ingredient I put the softer more watery ones in first.
You can loosen it with a bit of water or better still baby milk formula if it’s really struggling. Try and get the fluid down by the blades.
What are you trying to puree?

Also if it were me and it’s about baby food I might be inclined to try mumsnet.
Not that I ever got on with that place but I have to say it is a goldmine of good (and bad) advice.
