If you don't own a restaurant where is the best place to get professional quality kitchen equipment? I've heard Costco has good stuff now but I haven't been to check it out yet.

catering equipment for professional restaurants can be bought by any one,not just pros try this web site www.nisbets.co.uk
they have been around since the beginning of time, prompt service and their site gives you an idea of costs

Restaurant equipment brand new generally costs an arm and a leg. I was pretty shocked when I saw how much some of that stuff was actually priced. Stores like Costco and Gordon Food Service sell stuff that is sort of in between home cook quality and restaurant quality. It should be fine if you are mainly cooking at home. If you are a really high volume restaurant though, you might want to also consider either renting the equipment or buying it used instead.
