Here is a recipe I use for my breadfruit pie.
Ingredients include:
1 breadfruit
1 large onion
1 sprig of thyme
1 sprig of oregano
1 tin of celery soup or mushroom soup
1 half cup of milk
Cheese
Peel, cut and boil the breadfruit in salted water until fairly tender. Drain off the water from the breadfruit.
Grate the onion.
Empty the tin of celery soup/mushroom soup into a bowl.
Add the grated onion, the half cup of milk, the thyme and oregano, to the celery/mushroom soup, and stir in these ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Butter a medium sized dish, and place a few figs of breadfruit at the bottom. Then add a layer of the mixture to cover the breadfruit, followed by a few more figs of the breadfruit, and then more mixture all the way, alternating with breadfruit and the mixture, ending with the breadfruit on top. Grate some cheese over the last layer of breadfruit and place dish in the oven.
It takes about 30 to 45 minutes for this dish to be finished.
