There are 3 people in the office where I work who all have the exact same ring tone, when a phone rings all 3 of them check to see if it is their phone. On Thursday 1 of our colleagues from Manchester joined us for a few hours, his phone rang and guess what, yep, the exact same tone!

I hear it time and again when out and about, I don't understand why people don't want something different. On saying that 1 guy in the office has the Captain Scarlet theme tune which is pretty cool, he used to have the sound of the tardis :laugh:

What is your ring tone, anything a bit different?
 
My wife still has the tmobile jingle. Her phone will be in the other room and start ringing. She'll say "I wonder who that is". Every single time I'll answer with "if you assigned ringtones to the 6 people in your contact list you would know who it is" lol.

I have a few. My standard ringtone is "Have a Drink On Me" from ACDC. My oldest daughters ringtone is from the 4 nonblondes "What's Up". When she was around 10 we recorded ourselves rocking out to it once. Now its our song lol.

My middle daughters ringtone is "War Machine" from ACDC. She used to be a bitch, and she always sounded like she was on the warpath.

My wife's ringtone is "Porn Star Dancing", because why not lol.
 
A while ago we watched Muse on tv, they played 1song and the music sounded familiar, couldn't quite put my finger on why as I am not a fan. A few days later at work our IT guy's phone rang and that was when the penny dropped, his ring tone is Super Massive Blackhole.
 
While at work I needed and used the loudest and most strident noise the phone could emit [and usually something high pitched] simply because hearing a phone in your pocket when working beside a motorway is sometimes difficult. Since retiring however I have gone back to the old fashioned ring ring tone - it just seems nostalgic somehow

My colleague who sits next to me has an iphone, when she gets a notification it goes ping, so loud and shrill it hurts my ears.
 
I have at long last bought a phone, it was delivered to work this morning. So far this evening I have charged it up, set my wallpaper and ring tone, everything else can wait until tomorrow.
 
The ring tone I have on my phone for my wife is Stewie from Family Guy annoying his mum, over and over.
"Mum, mum, mum mum, mummy, mummy, mummy mummy, .."

The last one I had for my wife was a very loud, angry murder of crows sounding off in a territorial dispute. It was pretty funny, and I could hear it ringing through almost any noise.

But we were sitting together at one of our son's games last year when she acidentally butt dialed my phone. The crows started cawing, and she realized that it was my ringtone for her. I was ordered to change it immediately.
 
Classical music ring tone.....have an app on my phone with a lot of choices.....usually change a few times year...."variety is the spice of life"......
 
On my main phone I have a particular ring tone for calls from my daughter, and another for anyone else. My other phone has a setting on it where the phone picks ring tones at random :laugh:
 
In the good old days of the basic Nokia, my ring tones were usually farm animals depending on which agricultural shows I was frequenting. My most recent iphone I hate with a passion. It seems to be on a constant mission to dominate my life, so I have as little interaction with it as I can.

My Nokia and my old Sagem phone have a rooster ring tone on them. Ideal for getting my own back when "her next door" complains about me breathing :laugh:
 
I have a soft guitar ring tone. Since most phone calls are not for me but the previous two owners of the phone number i was tired of being interrupted by the ringing so i went with something soft and soothing that i can ignore cause i only check for a voice mail and dial back.

When i did answer it was always for lori or jaqualine...their lawyer, their studen loan modification company, their relatives etc. i also have the joy of recieving their text messages...the porn text on easter morning was not well recieved, tho the coupon i get sent every saturday for that thrift store makes me wish i was close enough to use it.

I left one of my old PAYG phones in a drawer as a spare and only found it again a couple of years later. I charged it up and noticed there were a lot of text messages on it obviously for someone else. When I checked my account for the phone I use normally, I alsofound that the old number (which was still registered to me) had been used regularly and had been kept topped up, so obviously the sim had been cloned. I kept a check on it and there were a couple of texts from the other person saying she would be going abroad for a couple of weeks but would get in touch as soon as she got back. About two weeks later there was a text from this woman to say she was back. The phone had been topped up with a fair amount of money in the meantime, so I replied to her text saying something to the effect "sorry, darling. I've found someone else", then after a few hours (having checked there was no reply) I rang the phone company and told them somehow lost the sim card. They put an immediate block on that sim and issued me a new one. I still use that number but I would have loved to have known the outcome of my reply :laugh:
