As you may or may not be aware, Samsung is ending its SMS/text messenging app in July. What are Samsung users here thinking sbout or planning to switch to unless you already use another texting app?

I've used the Pro version of Chomp forever. It's well worth the $9.99. Android Authority has a complied review list of sms apps.

- You can set a repeat notification. Define interval, how many, how long, etc.

No subscription. It's a one time charge. I've used it through I don't know how many phones. Totally customizable as well. There are many themes or you can create your own, backgrounds, colors, fonts & font styles, it's up to you.

WhatsApp here. Never use SMS - it's only the banks that do so.
They and other platforms use it as a verification method too - so quite important.

Seems that my phone Galaxy A55 5G didn't come with the Samsung Messages app, so I've been using what was in the phone instead, Google Messages.
Personally, I prefer password authenticator apps to OTP via sms now that e-sims are so readily available and transferable.
