I was fortunate enough to visit the redwood forest with my sister who lives in Palo Alto back in the 1990s. My mother and I went to Northern California for 2 weeks and we went there for the day. My niece, her boyfriend my mother, my sister, my sister's husband, and I all stood next to each other in front of a giant redwood and the edges of the trunk were still prominent on either side of our group. We also went to Chinatown in San Francisco and drove down to Monterey and Half Moon Bay, among other places. Fantastic trip!
