Shortage of table salt

Just letting you all know that there has been a buzz in my business recently about an impending shortage of table salt..It might not transpire but you can do your own research and decide if you should grab a few extra boxes just incase,....

I'm covered with not only table but Kosher, Sea Salt and Hawaiian Salt... and don't use alot of Salt

I use kosher for my brining/smoker at work and then regular table salt for all purpose cooking..The prices haven't gone up too much yet but the word is once the stores are diminished the production might not keep up to the demand..Up her in Canada, the two major salt producers can't get enough employees to run at full capacity..I have bought 50 lbs for the shop..should do me forever..maybe they can preserve me in it after I keel over

When/if the hits the fan, I can barter alot of what I have in my auxiliary pantry.
Note to self, I NEED to get the rest of the Apples I was gifted, put up!

Be careful when selling it on the street. You could be done for a Salt and battery

I even made DH come with me, twice, to Home Depot to buy extra 40 pound bags of Salt Pellets for our Water Softener ... ya neva know!

I have 5 kilo /11 lbs of sea salt here plus 2 boxes of 1.5 lb each. For two people I think I can survive for the coming 3 years minimum.
But maybe I'll buy more because why not or maybe I can sell it
