Show us your breakfast (2025)

Possibly not the healthiest of starts to the New Year, this was second breakfast...

Pikelets, sour cream, mango, passionfruit and homegrown raspberries. We forgot the maple syrup.

I always have to think of something fishy when I hear pikelets.
Like baby pikes :)

Looks delicious
Drop scones just doesn't sound right to me. I was brought up knowing them as pikelets because my Grannie (whom I lived with for a while) was 100% Welsh, from the valleys and my great Grannie was known as mamgu (pronounced mam-ghee as in g for golf).

Same here - there was a favorite pub somewhere in the countryside between our house in Northamptonshire and the big US base exchange at RAF Lakenheath called The Pike, and now, whenever I read “pikelet,” the first thing that pops into my consciousness is the pub sign!

Nothing going yet. I've only been awake for an hour or so.
Breakfast will probably vanish into the mists of time ( or the mists of last night's scotch) and lunch will miraculously appear as a repeat of last night's dinner!

At around 3.30pm, that's exactly what happened. Crepes lasagna, green salad with passion fruit dressing, grilled courgettes with marinated bocconcini and a plateful of tiramisú.

You are going to start looking like a raspberry, soon SatNavSaysStraightOn!
Guess what?

I also picked some more today as well.

If I could only choose 3 things to eat for the rest of my life, it would be raspberries, mushrooms and potatoes (or maybe bread)
