Asian food is often well-seasoned, except for the outer portion of a pot sticker. My guess: the idea is to get a 'pop' of flavor after you bite into this food. What I learned in a cooking class is to coat the outside with sauce. Here's how:
  • Heat a fry pan on high.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of dipping sauce.
  • Bring dipping sauce to a boil.
  • Throw in your pot stickers.
  • Turn and cook pot stickers. (1 to 2 minutes)
  • Take pot stickers out and lay to the side. (1 to 2 minutes)
This process adds a lot of flavor to a pot sticker and you don't have to worry about sharing your sauce or running out of it.

That seems like it will really add some good flavor, and I love pot stickers. I'm going to give it a try - thanks for sharing. :)
