Spiked hot chocolate?

What's your poison my friends?
I'm currently sipping a mix of 6oz hot chocolate (nothing fancy, just the Swiss Miss powdered stuff) plus 2oz of bourbon. Not bad! What is your favorite way to incorporate booze into Hot Chocolate?

We have multiple ways we spike the hot chocolate, but my personal favorite is probably a little Bailey's for the extra richness and a good pour of peppermint schnapps.

Kahlua and Bailey's is nice, butterscotch schnapps is good, too.

We have bottles of both, and yes, they're excellent in hot chocolate (and other things!).

Does amaretto ever go bad? I think I have a dusty bottle that might be a decade old LOL

I'm not into bourbons or whiskies. But Baileys or Kahlua in hot choco would be OK as I would use both in my coffee. Rum is a special case of a high alcohol beverage that I would use occasionally and have a bottle stashed in the cupboard, but it rarely gets used, only for this bottle, hot rum buttered coffee and a rum and coke, earlier this year. I may do another rum and coke around Xmas time or New Years Eve.

Spiced rum for me. I bought a bottle just last night for that very purpose. We like to go for a walk on Christmas day morning and come back for a hot chocolate and a cinnamon whirl.

Any of the orange liqueurs work exceptionally well with hot chocolate. Orange and chocolate...natural combination.
