Recipe Sweet Onion Dim Sum

I candied a lot of sweet onions for the Onion Desert Challenge. Another offering tomorrow. I had a random thought to make a sweet onion desert Dim Sum. I only made the three so the recipe is haphazard.

For Candied Onions see tomorrow's submission for Sweet Onion Bread

3 TBSP. Candied Onions - chopped
Add 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and a pinch of salt
Put filling in wrappers
Fry until crisp
Dust with a mixture of cinnamon and granulated sugar.

I am very happy with the end result. Crunchy, sweet and just a little savory.

Wow. I am blown away by your creativity here, @ElizabethB. Anyone can throw together a bunch of ingredients and luck into something. But here, every decision has a purpose. When I heard the name, I thought: Come on, @ElizabethB: there's no way that's a dessert. But, I really believe it. I can imagine washing it down with coffee for an after-dinner treat (a dinner that may have had savory dim sum). It's not just clever: it actually works.

Clever - entering the Cookalong at the same time! What a great idea to candy the onions (I look forward to seeing the recipe). And deep frying until crispy with cinnamon - lovely!
