Ok I have mentioned these previously, after I ordered a meal from a restaurant on our dinner club night, I was served as a side kumara fries that were crunchy and heaven sent morsels. I even got three others to try, they even agreed how good they were. I normally use red kumara although we get...
My best confusion cooking occurred when I was pissed in both the UK and USA
meanings - rather inebriated, and annoyed at being ordered to produce a meal, late
in the day, when it wasn't my turn. I decided to churn out something so disgusting that
I'd never be put in this position again -...
If you eat breakfast which do you prefer? In many cultures its more common to eat savoury, even spicy, foods for breakfast. In the Western world we eat more cereals, often sweetened or perhaps pancakes with maple syrup or toast with marmalade. What is your choice - or perhaps you like to have both?
Ok ,this counts as weird and we're not 100% sure on it but...
We also did the flavouring with both ground coffee and instant coffee. To be honest, we are not sure which one we preferred.
2 large organic sweet potatoes
1-2 tbsp Olive oil
2-3 tbsp ground coffee
1/2 tsp sea salt
Today, I just made some sweet potato filling for 2 pies.
Instead of the usual ricer that I use, I pulverized them in the performance blender. Not one trace of stringy matter in the mixture. It was so smooth & velvety.1 A new way to get rid of that pesky stringy crap!!
For this recipe, you'd need a high-performance blender. One that spins the blades at about 25.000 to 43,000 rpm allowing you to make piping-hot soup without a stove!
One large sweet potato, sliced.
1-1/2 cups water.
! teaspoon butter.
1/4 cup light cream or half & half.

These sweet fried dumplings are known as seadas or sebadas, and are a famous Sardinian dessert.
The key to their unique taste is the stark contrast between the sweet and mild cheese of the filling and the bitter Strawberry tree honey, known in Italian as miele di corbezzolo.
I candied a lot of sweet onions for the Onion Desert Challenge. Another offering tomorrow. I had a random thought to make a sweet onion desert Dim Sum. I only made the three so the recipe is haphazard.
For Candied Onions see tomorrow's submission for Sweet Onion Bread

Alright this recipe is a healthy recipe my husband taught me. My husband said he learned this recipe from his father who made it for him when he was a kid. He's added a few things since then and I've added some things too. The end result is this recipe. With his permission I'm sharing it with...
This is super easy to make. You can use left over cooked sweet potato and other than the deep frying, there is no other cooking required for the potato balls I'm not really a fan of sweet potato, but here their sweetness is offset by ginger and chilli and a sharp dip which suits my taste...
OK - I know. Chocolate pasta really? Yep, really. Actually it should be cocoa pasta but Cacao tend to get translated as chocolate into English....
There are 2 versions of this. The sweet and the bitter. This is the sweet one.
150g '00' Pasta Flour
50g Cocoa powder (preferably...
I've noticed that the the majority of photos and posts on the forum are about savoury rather than sweet food. At least, that is my perception. My question is, given the choice, which do you really prefer? I know this isn't a straightforward question as it depends on circumstances. Personally I...
